- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆They're ok, but if you are considering getting your pet health insurance DO NOT sign up for the free 30 day policy! Since it is only a 30 day policy, now my kitten has a pre-existing condition that won't be covered by any insurance. It's much better to just buy a regular yearly insurance.By Jen Snow, July 13, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆My neighbors have two vicious german shepards. They viciously bark at every person including children. The large dogs got out of the house at the least three to four times a week. The dogs antagonize the other dogs in the neighborhood, chase children when they are out and in general terrorize the community. My daughter and I have missed the school bus trying to avoid them. One unfortunate day. I was bit by one of these dogs. I was taken to the emergency room and given shots. I followed up by calling the police and calling Oakland animal services. It has been over six months. No one has responded, the Oakland police department nor Oakland Animal services. I even went to their facebook page to ask for support. I left over ten messages and spoke to reps countless times. Nothing has happened. I live in an impoverished neighborhood, stray dogs and animal attacks are normal. I am disappointed that these dogs are still terrorizing everyone in the community and the OPD And Oakland animal services does nothing to support a safe environment. I'm sure this issue would not go unresolved in an upperclass neighborhood. I have been chased by dogs in this community three times. One time my eight year old daughter had to run with me from a very large pitbull. I'm disgusted in the City of Oakland and Oakland Animal services. Everytime my daughter and I walk out our door we have to be cautious because of the uncontrolled dogs in my neighborhood. As I type this review I can hear the large shepard that bit my viciously barking at passbyers on the street.By Bella Martrice, June 04, 2017
